HIIT THAT BODY! High-Intensity Interval Training is all the rage these days, and I can see why. Not only are these workouts effective, when you finish you feel like you´ve worked every muscle in your body. Workouts range from 10-30 mins. I love these workouts because you can do them anytime and anywhere. Great for people that don´t have time for long workouts. Burn fat and calories fast with this exceptional training regime.
High-Intensity Interval Training is primarily a training technique where you alternate between intense bouts of exercise followed by short periods of rest (or even lower intensity exercises). E.g., on a 2:1 ratio = 30 seconds of activity followed by 15 secs rest. Fast running for 30 seconds and walking for 15 seconds is a form of interval training. Benefits: No equipment is necessary! Not having to have any equipment is one of the things that I love about these workouts. These training techniques use one’s own body weight. One can, of course, integrate dumbbells, balls, or other pieces of training equipment, but it is not necessary to have an effective workout.
Hold on for 24 hours! This training method burns more fat and calories and has an excellent afterburn effect which can last for up to 24 hours. Keep that furnace burning! You lose weight and not valuable muscle. We´ve all heard that when we lose weight, we lose valuable muscle tissue as well right? Well HIIT workouts encourage the preservation of lean muscle mass. It improves strength and stamina. HIIT workouts work in the anaerobic zone, which is doing short bursts of exercise without the presence of oxygen. It will push you to your limits. This type of training is not for the faint-hearted. It´s good for stress relief. It´s definitely stress-defuser as is any other form of exercise. Your focus will be on your workouts, and not the problems in your life.
Yes, if you are in good health and you don´t do too much too soon. Make sure you warm-up and cool down properly with appropriate stretching. Always check with your doctor should you have any ailments, illnesses, are pregnant or lactating.
