Celery Juice has many significant health benefits which are magnified by juicing. There are claims that the juice from this amazing plant has many healing properties that regenerate, heal and soothe aiding everything from digestion and gut issues to liver, thyroid and skin disorders as well as many other ailments. In addition, celery juice can improve your health for the better as well as helping you to get lean and feel less bloated. I have been drinking celery now for 2 months and I have noticed that I feel:
Since the originator, Anthony William, the Medical Medium, claimed Celeries healing power, lots of celebrities plus thousands of other people around the globe have jumped on the bandwagon claiming that celery juice has helped them with ailments, increased their health and have even helped them to rid illness and disease.
There have not been any studies done on celery juice itself, only on celery and its seed as a whole. However, there are thousands of people reporting that their celery juice journey has helped them to cure ailments within the body.
I was so intrigued that I downloaded the Kindle version of Anthony Williams book which is called Medical Medium – Celery Juice – (you can get it here on Amazon) and guessed that if it´s good enough for the celebrities, it´s good enough for me. Anthony´s book is based on the experience that thousands of people have had since drinking the juice. I actually found all the stories and testimonials from people really intriguing and that´s why I decided to make my own experience.

One should drink approx. 16oz/473ml PURE organic celery per day, in the morning on an empty stomach. If you can´t get organic make sure you wash conventional celery thoroughly – see my tip at the end of this blog as this will show you how to help rid the celery of pesticides. Make sure to drink it straight away as this will help to keep the nutrients intact. Drinking it on an empty stomach first thing will help your body to better digest the rest of the food that you eat during that day
Celery Juice has Amazing Healing Properties due to its powerful antioxidant ingredients and when it’s juiced by itself, it helps to regenerate and heal. I will be honest, it´s gonna make you poop and you will feel a rumble in the bumble, but try to see this is in a positive light. It´s your bodies way of literally clearing out the crap and it may even help you with problems such as constipation -I hope you don´t mind my honesty, but I think it´s important to know before you start.
Just think about how much food goes into our bodies every day, every week and How the body processes everything for us. Sometimes, our gut just needs a break and that´s one of the reasons why I do intermittent fasting, to give my gut some time off. Adding celery juice (and other possible green juices) into the equation will assist the process. Our gut is the powerhouse of our wellbeing. When our gut is not functioning correctly, you can guarantee that the rest of the body isn´t either. So, give your stomach a break and feed it with some pure celery juice in the mornings. I tend to hold a lot of water at a specific time in the month and especially when I have eaten something like white bread, which tends to make one retain water.
The mineral salts in celery help to fight, cleanse and energize the thyroid system and any viruses that are present. The Thyroid is responsible for the production and regulation of hormones.
Celery Juice helps to beat tiredness by cleaning out the adrenal glands and has been suggested that it helps with chronic fatigue syndrome.
If you are unable to get organic celery or don´t have the budget for organic try using baking powder (baking soda if you are from the US!), or bicarbonate of soda to wash conventional celery before juicing. This will alkalise the water, making it difficult for pesticides to survive. Leave to soak for 2-3 mins, scrub, rinse, dry and juice!

There are, like with any food, side effects of drinking celery juice, especially in high doses, so you should stop immediately if you feel any reaction and consult your doctor if you feel unwell. If you are pregnant, lactating or have any illness and disease, you must check with your doctor BEFORE you start on a celery detox program. If you are drinking celery as part of a weight loss program, it should not be used as a meal replacement.
Yes! It is said that when the fibre is removed the healing effects are much more powerful. Eating celery sticks is obviously very healthy too, but you would have to chew on a lot of celery to get the recommended amount. Using a Juicer will extract the whole juice from the celery. I use a Juicer and recommend this one which you can get inexpensively from Amazon.
