The merry season hits us just once per year, and I am so grateful for that. True indulgence in the foods we love is divine, but it certainly has its drawbacks. I believe that a good diet is about having everything in balance. I enjoyed Xmas, and I am sure you did too, but the aftershocks took their toll on the 27th December. The year’s start is always full of New Year’s resolutions and good intentions, so I decided to get back on my Noom journey to help me drop a few festive kilos. Noom is my one-stop place for gaining long-lasting weight loss results. Here’s to A New Year – A New Me!
As a Lifestyle Coach, my years in the fitness and wellness industry have given me lots of weight loss and wellbeing. I’ve been exposed to every diet and eating regime known to man, and Noom is one of the most successful ways to get fit, healthy and reach one’s goals. 2020 has shown us that leading a healthier lifestyle has many long term benefits for our health. Keeping an eye on our weight, having less stress, adopting healthier habits and looking after our wellbeing is key to living a longer, healthier life.
I don’t know about you, but I get the shivers when I think or hear the word dieting. When I think about diets, I think of deprivation. Who wants to feel deprived? No one!
Short term dieting brings short term results, and sustainability is the most important result of any program. What I love about Noom is that it does just that. Noom is not a diet but a program that focuses on changing behavioural habits and not changing what one eats, so there is no sign of deprivation. Most people give up on their diet because they feel deprived of not eating the foods they love. It’s all about making better choices in nutrition, exercise and wellbeing. Losing weight is not just about looking good; it’s also about feeling good too.
‘Noom was recognised by Google as the 3rd most searched diet in 2018’
I love being a part of the Noom family and also Noom’s Facebook Community group. There are so many people sharing their stories and experience, and it’s great to get support and motivation from its members. The program takes up 5-10 mins of my day, which is easy to manage around my family. Also, Noom thinks so much about its members. During the Coronavirus outbreak, I received an email from Noom with a virtual hug, and they were offering tips and tricks for emotional and mental health. Wow! I had the feeling of support, service and that they care about me.

How many times have you started a new diet, and given up before you reached your goals? How demotivated did you feel? Maybe, it demotivated you so much that you questioned your sanity regarding starting a new diet again. Diets have a negative effect on the brain and our self-confidence. There are thousands of diets on the market, and when it comes to losing weight, one size does not fit all. There are many factors involved in losing weight, and it’s not just about counting calories. Managing stress, getting proper sleep, loving yourself, working on your emotional and mental wellbeing, and exercising more often add to better weight loss results.
The program lasts for 16 weeks and covers the following topics:
Whether you are doing Paleo, the Ketogenic Diet, Intermittent Fasting, the Mediterranean Diet or any other, Noom can be integrated to assist you in reaching your goals. It’s so unique and versatile.
